A warehouse designed around fulfilment
When a specialist online sleep and home textiles business moved into a new warehouse, it needed a storage solution designed around the demands of a growing e-commerce operation.
With a wide range of products to store and orders to fulfil, the warehouse needed to provide significant storage capacity while keeping products organised and accessible for efficient picking.
Working with Used Racking UK, the business required a system that could make the most of its new warehouse while putting practical picking at the heart of the design.
The Solution
116 bays built around picking
Used Racking UK supplied and installed a Used Link 51 pallet racking system, comprising 116 bays and 334 decked picking levels.
The installation uses 153 frames, each standing 6,225mm high and 900mm deep, with a capacity of up to 8,000kg per frame.
A total of 1,028 beams at 2,700mm were installed, with each beam pair capable of supporting 2,000kg, providing a robust storage structure for the business's range of home textile products.
To create practical picking levels throughout the warehouse, the installation includes 334 levels of 38mm timber decking, combining 272 used levels with 62 new levels.
The system was also fitted with 135 new column guards, providing additional protection throughout the warehouse.

The completed installation creates a high-capacity storage environment designed around the way the business operates.
With 334 decked picking levels across 116 bays, the system provides accessible storage throughout the warehouse, helping the team locate and pick products efficiently as orders come through.
