Four jobs. One supplier.
When a long-standing supplier let Piperfinn down, they knew exactly who to call. Used Racking UK.
What started as an urgent requirement quickly became an ongoing four-part warehouse storage project — combining used pallet racking, new longspan shelving, system reconfiguration and the relocation of existing equipment.
Across four separate jobs, we supplied, installed and reconfigured storage solutions around Piperfinn’s requirements, using a combination of new and quality used equipment to deliver the right solution for each application.
The Solution
Four requirements. Four tailored systems.
The project involved four separate installations, each designed to fulfil a different storage requirement.
Job 1 — Used Stow Pallet Racking
The first installation comprised 39 used Stow frames, standing 4m high and 1.1m deep, with 184 used 3.4m beams.
The system was completed with timber decking, plastic column guards, row ties, end-of-row barriers, floor fixings, shims and load signage — providing a complete, safe and practical pallet storage solution.
Job 2 — New AR Longspan Shelving
For smaller items and more accessible storage, we supplied a new AR Longspan shelving system.
The single run comprises 8 bays, each 3m high × 900mm deep × 2.7m wide, with 5 shelving levels per bay, complete with chipboard decking and supports.
Finished in blue frames and orange beams, the system combines practical storage with a distinctive, hard-wearing finish.
Job 3 — Used Sperrin Pallet Racking
The third installation added further pallet storage with 75 used Sperrin frames, 232 used 3.4m beams and 16 2.25m beams.
The system was completed with row ties, new column guards, shims, floor fixings and end-of-row barriers to create another fully equipped pallet storage area.
Job 4 — Reconfigure, relocate and expand
The fourth project was a little different.
Piperfinn had existing pallet racking that had been supplied by another company, but needed it relocated and reconfigured to make better use of the available space.
Used Racking UK carefully dismantled and rebuilt 22 bays of pallet racking, adding additional beam levels to bring the configuration in line with the manufacturer’s specifications.
The project was then expanded further with 12 runs of new AR Longspan shelving, each 5 bays long, creating additional accessible storage alongside the reconfigured pallet racking.
The Result
One supplier. Multiple storage solutions.
